The EU are busy trying to stop us importing new US built trucks. It looks like we may have already got type approval on the 4 axle Peterbilt 389, but this one goes the other way being in excess of 50 years old!

It's been a bare chassis up rebuild, lots of running gear changes etc to bring it up to a modern standard.

B-Model Macks are iconic and have their own following in the US. For quite some time, we have looked for a good example that can actually do some work. Hopefully, this one will be successful. Ewan (Mick's cousin) is going to collect it from Pennsylvania (Mack's hometown) and move it down to Georgia before it climbs onto a ferry and comes to live in Flimwell.

It will be used for low loader work along with the other 6x4s. It has a maxidyne engine (Mack's own) and has had its twin stick gearbox replaced by a double overdrive Eaton 13 speed. This gives the truck a theoretical top speed of around 100mph. The rear axles are from a later Mack and it now has air suspension on both rears. Just about everything on this truck has been renewed or overhauled.
