Digger stuck in silt in North Kent
We were called to this digger after it became partially submerged on the edge of an estuary. The machine was at the bottom of a steep embankment with the silt and water coming up to the top of the engine cover. The tracks and the undercarriage were totally submerged and the boom fully outstretched. ...

100T +++ ballast trailer stuck in building site
This is one of three ballast trailers that support the 500T crane. It was derigged and the equipment was leaving site, but the road wasn't able to support the weight of the trailer at its edges. The trailer, load and tractor unit weigh in excess of 100T and the trailer has hyd. steering rear axles. ...

Who parked that there??
This Dutch artic ended up off the side of the M20 J8-9 this morning. It seems the driver fell asleep, but luckily the lorry found its way into the bottom of the drainage ditch which served very well as an arrester bed. It did suffer some damage but could have been much worse. It was loaded and on it...

Runaway DAF!
We were called out to this vehicle last night. It rolled away (by itself) down the embankment into a neighbouring building. We lifted/winched it back onto the carriageway and left it in the customer's yard due to the damage it had suffered. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/Runaway...

Transformer lift (very very heavy!)
This transformer is to go into Wadhurst substation, replacing the original which was built in 1935 (made in the UK). The new one was built in China, how long will it last...? http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/Generator%20lift/101_1856Copy_zpsdb52b577.jpg http://i1298.photobu...

Another stuck tanker!
This was another case of wrong location. The driver went up the wrong track and the tanker slid sideways into a culvert. It was fully loaded and was laying on its delivery manifolds etc with the N/S rear wheels suspended in mid air. The suspension and rear axle were up against the brickwork of the c...

Moving illegal vessels
Customs and police uncovered an operation in Kent that was purifying diesel and selling it as derv. We were called to remove the storage vessels from the buildings that they were cleverly hidden in and transport them to Essex. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/Illegal%20diesel/101_...

Tanker stuck down small lane
We couldn't get anything bigger than this small Ford down this lane. The tanker driver had made a wrong turn and gone into the ditch. This truck was fully loaded and on its axles. Fortunately, there was a tree in the right place which allowed us to get a perfect angle of pull and increase the winch ...

Not a good place to take 44Tons!
The driver of this vehicle had to take supplies to a solar farm, unfortunately he wasn't told which way in and which farm. He proceeded down this road which was not more than a farm track. There were several very tight turns, and we had just had record rainfall. The vehicle got stuck the night befor...
