This trailer became detached whilst the driver was travelling around the busy roundabout where the A2 goes beneath the M25 J2. He was very lucky that the trailer got jammed in the wheel and under the 5th wheel, preventing it from turning over onto the cars that were on his N/S. The 5th wheel locking mechanism was faulty and required replacement before the prohibition placed on the vehicle could be lifted.
