Tipper stuck in very remote location (Foden 6x6)

This job took place in a place called Forest Way at the back of Hartfield. Apparently, it is a disused railway line that is now a cycle path and country walk. The farmer owning adjacent land had already attended with his tractor and was very clear in his instruction to attend from the rear of the vehicle. This meant going across fields, through a wooded track and eventually getting to what used to be a level crossing, a further 1/2-3/4 mile had to be travelled on the disused line.

Overhanging trees, poor ground conditions and heavy machinery dont go together! When we eventually got to the stricken vehicle, the track to the rear was too narrow for the Foden. It subsided and the Foden could not get back out. There was no doubt that the job should have been done from the front - it would have been much easier with either rotator. Once the NRC arrived on scene, the tipper was soon out and it was a similar situation with the Foden.
