We got called out to this trailer that had sunk into the ground after going through the yard surface etc. I was shocked to see how it had been loaded, 26T of engineering bricks were placed between the bulkhead and the first axle. Nothing was over the axles and obviously nothing behind. It was a difficult lift because with all that weight over the front, the concentrated effort of the crane can bend the trailer chassis. We try to set it up in such a way that the crane and the under-lift do a proportion of the lifting to dissipate the load. Once it was up and supported, the time consuming job of removing the bricks took place. Fortunately, with much effort and use of ratchet straps etc, we managed to get virtually all of the packs off with a forklift.
