This was a particularly wet, narrow and restricted site. The fully laden 8-wheeler slipped off the road on the bend and immediately sunk up to its axles, listing badly to the N/S. The Peterbilt is quite short, and the NRCs ability to slide backwards on its chassis gave us an ideal lifting point to take some weight from the lower side and winch the casualty onto hard standing, without further damage.
